Rostyslav Zavhorodnii's Art Style: Union of Color and Form

The artist works in oil and acrylic painting, collage, and hot enamel. In his practice, Rostyslav explores the relationship between the human figure and the surrounding environment. He combines form and color, paying particular attention to simple geometric contours and their interaction with the central figure.

His palette is often structured either through contrasting complementary colors or a restrained monochromatic scheme.

Zavhorodnii seeks to create works in which color, rhythm, and narrative composition do not assert the artist’s authority. Rather than offering direct or didactic statements, he leaves space for open interpretation — not dictating meaning, but constructing a visual environment that invites reflection.

Digitization

UFDA has digitized five works by the artist. Digitized pieces include Room Figure Microchip (2025), Behind the Wall 2, 3, Under the Sun 1, 2. Quadriptych (2023), Behind the Wall 1, 3, 4, Behind Two Walls 1. Quadriptych (2023), Sensitivities (2022), and Room Figure (2022).
