Anhelina Sidenko’s Art Style

The artist works in the styles of realism and romantic architectural landscape, and also explores expressionism, producing illustrations, prints, and graphic series.

The artwork of Anhelina Sidenko is distinguished by the refined treatment of line, in which every stroke accentuates the texture of historic buildings, landscapes, and architectural detail.

Beyond purely architectural motifs, her style is marked by a profound poetic sensibility, evident in her illustrations to literary works, where reality interweaves with mythological and historical imagery.

Sidenko creates etchings and monotypes using metal plates, acid etching, and hand colouring — a multi-stage process demanding exceptional technical mastery. A central place in her practice is occupied by the image of Kyiv, whose architectural landmarks she has rendered in over fifty etchings, including the series Kyiv Baroque.
