Halyna Dubyk’s Famous Paintings: Exploring Corporeality
The artist's practice spans painting, graphic art and installation. Among Halyna Dubyk’s original paintings are Verticals (2020), Conservation III (2023), On the Verge of the Subconscious (2023), and others.
UFDA has digitised the artist's work Trajectory (2026), which can now be viewed in full resolution and in XR format on the organisation's website.
Halyna Dubyk’s Art Style
In her practice, the artist explores corporeality and its "transformations" under the pressure of environment and lived experience. Her visual language is grounded in the deconstruction of the figurative image and its interaction with mechanical structures and space. Personal experience continually shifts the vantage point from which the artist views the body. Corporeality thus remains an open field of enquiry, without a final definition.
In her paintings, Halyna works primarily in oils, using multilayered application, transparent and semi-transparent layers, and the partial removal of paint from the surface. In her graphic work, her principal medium is graphite.
