Since 2022, the artist has been actively involved in artist residencies and exhibitions, gaining recognition as a member of the OSRZ 4 group in Lviv and the OSRZ 2 group in Odesa. He currently resides and works in Kyiv, continuing to develop his artistic practice.

Biography of Illia Todurkin

The artist was born on October 25, 2000, in Mariupol, Donetsk region. He embarked on a journey marked by resilience and creativity. After finishing school, he relocated to Kyiv, where he worked extensively while gradually immersing himself in art. He briefly enrolled at the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture but left after six months.

Throughout his life, Illia has faced significant challenges, including persistent depression, and suicidal thoughts. He was sick a lot and suffered a certain number of operations. These experiences greatly affected Illia Todurkin’s art.

Todurkin’s paintings and other works have been featured in shows held in Kyiv and Lviv. In 2024, his work was presented in the “Preparing for Loss” exhibition at The Naked Room Gallery.
