The young Ukrainian artist Halyna Andrusenko works with various media and explores the boundaries of different artistic genres. She often delves into the study of the human figure and its place in the history of art. Andrusenko draws on her academic background, where the human figure was a customary subject for depiction, yet she seems to amplify the effect of depersonalization—rendering the figure as an object, entirely devoid of individuality.

Her work intensifies the essence of still lifes by Morandi and Cézanne. The artist composes still lifes from "objects," emphasizing uncomfortable, illogical, and absurd poses for the human body.
