Personal Space

Taras Kobliuk is a Ukrainian graphic artist. His practice centers around printmaking, where he explores color, texture, and form through complex lithographic techniques.

Taras Kobliuk is a core member of the artist collective "Lithography 30" alongside Nina Savenko and Alisa Gots. His works have been exhibited in Ukraine and abroad and featured in numerous printmaking festivals.

Born in 1988 in Mlyniv, Rivne region, the artist studied at the Taras Shevchenko State Art School and the Institute of Publishing and Printing of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Early in his career, he studied etching techniques in the lithography workshop of the Ukrainian graphic artist Volodymyr Ivanov-Akhmetov, where he also worked as a lab assistant.

After graduation, Kobliuk initiated the opening of the first free-access lithography studio in Ukraine, helping make printmaking more accessible to artists and the public. As a central member of the "Lithography 30" collective, he has participated in many festivals dedicated to manual printing and has helped establish a printmaking studio at IZON in Kyiv. 

In recent years, Kobliuk's works have been shown in such exhibitions, as "On the Shore of Dreams" at Imagine Point Gallery (Kyiv, 2025), "Lithography. Kyiv. 1988-2020" at White World Gallery (Kyiv, 2020), and "Lithography30" at the Lithography Academy (Tidaholm, Sweden, 2020).

The artist lives and works in Kyiv.

Kobliuk's works advance lithographic techniques by blending traditional and experimental approaches. They feature layered textures, gestural marks, and subtle visual narratives. His prints often explore themes of presence and absence, physicality and memory, as well as the emotional dynamics of human relationships and daily life. Color is central in Taras Kobliuk's art style. In an interview with "Your Art" magazine, he shared that he considers a work incomplete without color, and he integrates vibrant tones into every piece. He typically uses two or three contrasting shades to create bold, eye-catching contrasts that invite deeper exploration. This careful use of color reflects Kobliuk's sensitivity to visual harmony and emotional resonance. Through his mastery of lithography and color, he crafts compositions that feel both personal and impactful.
