Biography
Alya Segal is an art historian, independent curator, and researcher. She is the co-curator of the Ukrainian section of the Secondary Archive and the founder and curator of the apartment gallery Kruchi.
In her practice, Alya Segal explores contemporary Ukrainian art and the representation of women within it. The foundation of her work lies in studying the impact of war on culture and society in the context of russia's military invasion of Ukraine. Born in Kharkiv, she currently lives and works in Kyiv.
