Biography of Vitalii Kravets
Born in 1988 in Lviv, Ukraine, the artist studied at the Taras Shevchenko State Art School, graduating in 2006, and later completed his education at the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, graduating in 2010.
Kravets' paintings are kept in the collections of Ukraine, Great Britain, France, the USA, Canada, Cyprus, Turkey, Austria, and Japan. His project, "Anatomy of the Invertebrates," was a nominee for the Shevchenko National Prize.
The artist has participated in lots of personal and group exhibitions, in particular, "Diana and the Roosters" at the Dukat Gallery (Kyiv, 2020), "Anatomy of the Invertebrates" at the Dukat Gallery (Kyiv, 2022), "Landscape" at Zaporizhzhia Shopping Center (2023), "Art On The Battlefront" at Künstlerhaus (Vienna, Austria, 2023), "Crying" at the Stedley Art Foundation (Kyiv, 2024).

The artist works with a variety of materials and techniques, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to art. He works with grisaille, application, and painting techniques, using charcoal, glue, ink, and paper. For example, his works from the “Краєвид” series include pieces created with oil and acrylic paints on canvas.
In an interview with zprz.city, the artist shared that Abstract Expressionism resonates with him because it allows emotions to be expressed not literally but embedded into a form akin to music without words.
