Last Friday, the UFDA team launched a new series of public conversations about Ukrainian art, digitization, and self-organized practices. The first guest was art critic, curator, and researcher Alya Segal, whose multifaceted activities reflect current trends in Ukraine's cultural field.

Illia Todurkin is an artist whose work teeters between personal experience, traumatic memory, and a deep interest in the transformative nature of art. His creations span a wide range of techniques: from monotypes, sculptures, and graphic works to digital reconstructions of lost spaces.

Several months ago, the Ukrainian Fund for Digitized Art, in partnership with the Prytula Charity Foundation, held its first-ever charity NFT auction. Over three days of spirited bidding, every lot was sold, raising a total of 37,700 USDC to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Now, the equipment and technology purchased with these funds have finally reached their intended recipients!

The Ukrainian Fund of Digitized Art (UFDA) has officially concluded its Open Call for museums, art institutions, galleries, and independent artists, and the results are nothing short of extraordinary!

In the recent significant update, the Ukrainian Fund of Digitized Art has expanded its online catalogue to include works by renowned Ukrainian artists Nina Savenko, Taras Kobliuk, and Serhii Zakharov. This addition showcases a diverse range of artistic styles and techniques, reflecting the depth of Ukraine’s contemporary art scene.  

With great sorrow, the art world mourns the loss of Ukrainian artist Ihor Selemenev. To honor his memory, we spoke with friends and colleagues, gathering heartfelt stories, reflections, and photographs to paint a vivid portrait of the late artist.

UFDA’s Open Call for Ukrainian museums, galleries, art institutions, and individual artists is approaching its deadline. With just one week left until May 1, 2025, we encourage all interested participants to finalize their applications. This initiative aims to preserve Ukraine’s cultural heritage through digitization, ensuring its resilience and accessibility for the future.
