Biography of Ihor Bortnyk
The artist was born in 1940 in the Lviv region, Ukraine. From 1969 to 1974, he studied at Kyiv State Art Institute (1969–1974), attending the studio of O. Lopukhov and V. Zabashta.
In 1974, he moved to Ternopil, where he worked at the Ternopil Art and Production Combine. Since then, Ihor has participated in regional, zonal, and all-Ukrainian exhibitions.
His original paintings are held in regional local history and art museums, in museums in Pochaiv (Kremenets district) and Yaremche (Ivano-Frankivsk region), and in private collections in Italy.
